Love poems
Soon, O Ianthe!
by Walter Savage Landor
Soon, O Ianthe! life is o'er,
And sooner beauty's heavenly smile:
Grant only (and I ask no more),
Let love remain that little while.

- 'I have been astonished that men could die martyrs for their religion - I have shudder'd at it. I shudder no more.
I could be martyr'd for my religion. Love is my religion.
And I could die for that. I could die for you.'
~ John Keats - 'Love is not weakness. It is strong. Only the sacrament of marriage can contain it.'
~ Boris Pasternak - 'To keep your marriage brimming,
With love in the loving cup,
Whenever you’re wrong, admit it;
Whenever you’re right, shut up.'
~ Ogden Nash
